Man charged after intruder assaults woman, 73
SAINT-QUENTIN, N.B. (CP) — RCMP in northern New Brunswick have laid charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 73-year-old woman.
Police allege the woman was assaulted by a masked man who broke into her home Thursday morning in Saint-Quentin.
They say the intruder fled on a bicycle.
The victim was taken to hospital and later released.
Police say the suspect, 27-year-old Camil Bujold of Saint-Quentin, is charged with break and enter, sexual assault and wearing a mask during the commission of an offence.
He was remanded following a court appearance today in Campbellton. A bail hearing has been scheduled for Monday.
