Man arrested in truck vs. parked car accident

A Cole Harbour man is facing drunk driving charges after a truck slammed into a parked car in Dartmouth Friday night.

Police were called to 216 Windmill Rd. at 10:02 p.m. for a reported hit and run after a white pickup truck hit a parked car, causing extensive damage.

Witnesses directed police to Jamieson St. where they found the truck. But the driver was not inside.

A police dog team tracked down a suspect, who was arrested by police.

A 46-year-old Cole Harbour man is expected to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date on charges of impaired driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
