Two Pictou County residents are facing drug charges after a search Friday.

A 47-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking after RCMP officers found marijuana and cash on their property.

Their residence is on Heathbell Road, the RCMP said in a release. The Pictou County street crime enforcement unit collaborated in the search.

The man and woman are to appear in Pictou provincial court on Sept. 10.
