Police make drug bust at Cape Breton home
NORTH SYDNEY – A North Sydney woman will be in court this morning after a police search of her home Thursday uncovered a cache of hydromorphone.
Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police street crime unit used a warrant to enter the home and found an undisclosed amount of the analgesic drug, which is used to dull severe pain. Hydromorphone is also known by the trade name Dilaudid.
The woman is to be charged under the Criminal Code with possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of an undertaking.
