NEW GLASGOW (CP) — Two people were sent to hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Pictou County.

RCMP responded to the crash at 3 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Old Alma Road and Highway 4 in New Glasgow.

Police say the Jaws of Life were used to extract a woman from her vehicle.

Traffic was diverted for five hours while police investigated.
